General ticket sales will start on a monthly basis until further notice. The performances in January and February 2022 will go on sale together.
Tickets will go on sale at 10.00 a.m. on the following dates (subject to change):
Monday, November 1, 2021 for events in December 2021
Monday, December 6, 2021 for events in January and February 2022
Monday, January 10, 2022 for events in March 2022
Monday, February 7, 2022 for events in April 2022
Monday, March 7, 2022 for events in May 2022
Monday, April 4, 2022 for events in June and July 2022
In individual cases, other advance booking dates are possible and will be indicated at the respective event. Additional Subscription tickets can be purchased preferentially as of the Thursday prior to the general presale start. Requests for group and school orders are already possible for the entire season, subject to reservation.
Separate rules apply for the Ballet Workshops and the Nijinsky Gala, each of which will be published in good time.
Subscriptions will resume in their regular form in November 2021. For events until 31 October 2021, subscribers can purchase tickets for the performances scheduled in their series at subscription conditions.
The Hamburg State Opera is offering its performances in the "3G model" until October 31. This does not apply to the "young choreographers" on October 23, 24 and 25, for whom the "2G model" applies.

From November 1, our performances in the main house will take place in the "2G model" until further notice, so that the distance requirements and the mask requirement can be lifted in the foyers and in the auditorium. Performances in the opera stabile are usually in the "3G model".

The evening box office at the State Opera opens 90 minutes before a performance. We kindly ask for your understanding that during evening box office hours, guests for the current performance have priority and that in some cases, advance sales cannot take place even during regular box office hours.
Register once, and you can select your tickets easily and comfortably, book and pay for them, and print them out at home, or send them directly to your mobile phone. We charge a postage and handling fee of € 3.00 for sending tickets by mail. You may purchase tickets via our online shop using your credit card (Visa, MasterCard), via "Direct Wire Transfer" or via SEPA direct debit.
Tickets can be purchased at our Ticket Services office in cash and by using your debit or credit card; sales via the phone or in writing can be paid for via credit card (Visa/MasterCard) or by payment via SEPA direct debit. Tickets ordered by mail or phone must be picked up and paid for within seven days after the reservation has been received; the exact date will be noted in your written reservation confirmation or during your phone order. If you wish, we are happy to mail you your tickets, charging a € 3.00 postage and handling fee together with the ticket price. Tickets will be mailed after payment has been completed. Written requests will be filled in the order they are received. In principle, tickets once purchased cannot be returned or exchanged. Please consult our General Terms and Conditions.
Tickets for performances of the 2019/2020 season can also be purchased at all known ticket sales points, via Hamburg Tourismus GmbH and via eventim.de and the CTS Eventim sales points.
Use of the State Opera cloakrooms is free for audience members. Large items (coats, umbrellas, large bags and comparable unwieldy items) may not be taken into the auditorium.

We are happy to mail you the monthly programme flyers for the State Opera free of charge. You may also subscribe to the State Opera's Journal for a € 12 postage fee (subscribers and Opera Card holders pay € 6 per season). Orders will be accepted by phone at +49 (40) 35 68 68.
