Born in Marseilles in 1989, Amandine Albisson grew up in an artistic world, her mother being a dancer and her father a singer. She began dancing with her mother and her teacher Eve Gonnet at the Art et Danse studio in Marseille at the age of four.
She entered the ballet school of the Opéra national de Paris in 1999, and continued her education there before joining the corps de ballet in 2006 at the age of 17. Amandine was promoted to Coryphée in 2009, Sujet in 2010 and Soloist in 2013. On March 5th 2014, she was announced as an Étoile following a performance of "Onegin" (John Cranko) in which she performed the role of Tatiana.
Her repertoire contains various brightest roles in the classical, modern and contemporary ballets, including "Giselle", "Paquita", Odette/Odile ("Swan Lake"), Clara in "The Nutcracker" (Rudolf Nureyev), Esmeralda in "Notre-Dame de Paris" (Roland Petit), "Le Palais de Cristal", "Violin Concerto", "Diamants / Joyaux" (George Balanchine), Chloé in "Daphnis et Chloé" (Benjamin Millepied), "Afternoon of a Faun", "Dances at a Gathering" (Jerome Robbins) and many others. In 2019, Amandine Albisson was nominated on Benois de la Danse award for performing the role of Marguerite Gautier in John Neumeiers "Lady of the Camellias" with Paris Opera Ballet.
As part of the Paris Opera Ballet's official tours, she has performed in Spain (Madrid, 2019), the United Arab Emirates (Abu Dhabi, 2019) and Japan (Tokyo, 2020).
Amandine Albisson was named Chevalier de l'ordre national du Mérite. She received the Prix du Cercle Carpeaux in 2009 and the Prix de l' Arop de la Danse in 2013.
